Pleasure for the Sake of Pleasure

After a bubbling cauldron of mind-altering, heart-penetrating sisterhood, woven with the profound teachings of the goddess, I find myself lying in my car, on a ferry crossing the ocean, contemplating pleasure.

There’s a devilish shadow inside me that whispers, Why focus on pleasure? Pleasure is sinful. It’s the voice of Eve who dared to eat the apple. I watch this little weasel-like part of myself, and instead of shrinking, I rise above it with curiosity.

I feel the old chugging train inside: push, exceed, progress, produce. That drive…so familiar, so ingrained. It’s been a constant companion, shaped by the vices of patriarchy.

But when I pause, really pause, and surrender into the support of the car seat, let my pelvis, my p*ssy, and my buttocks relax… I drop into God’s arms; Into Gaia, and I get it.

We are divine beings. We are meant to enjoy, to be in our pleasure, in everything we do.

Patriarchy, industrialization, the conveyor belts of conventional society, driven by ego, greed, and colonialism, have tried to shape us into robotic consumers. And it's a fucking force. But guess what? It’s only been around for 2,000 years. Ha!

The ancient truth is this: We belong to Mama Earth. We are Earth. We are divinity, born into our senses, our essential reality, our sexuality, and sovereignty.

We carry the holy family within us. The inner king and queen. All of these parts are alive and accessible, both individually and collectively.

So we RISE.

We band together. Let the feminine rise. Let the masculine heal. Let us do the sacred work of bringing the ancient ways back to their rightful place, as we feel into this New Earth being born.

We must first birth it within—in our own bodies. Because our bodies are the temple. The temples that builds all temple–-All life!
